I believe that over the span of all our lives, we both carry traits over and have traits that are only true to ourselves in our current life. I'm quite sure you can all agree with me. Now, what I would like to know is what about you is similar and different from your holocaust incarnations?

Lulz yes.. I completely agree with that. But because I was a child who died in the Holocaust, I can't really say. I can relate to my traits in this life, that I had back in my Victorian life though like my true enjoyment for the finer things in life (okay I know who does not have that trait but some people are more satisfied with the simpler things in life... as that is the best way to be), my love for writing definitely passed down, however I at least I don't consider myself to be a spoiled brat in this life like I was back then. I guess going through the Holocaust in my last life, even as a child.. and my other hardships in this life had to be done in order to seriously tone me down.

I agree about liking the finer things in life. Josef's family did have money, but we weren't filthy rich. Still, I did and still do like to have the best of everything. I'm some negative ways, I still have Josef's attitude. Nobody dies due to it now, but I do find myself being randomly kind and generous when in a good mood, and I also find myself taking it out completely on the people around me when I'm not. I pick at everything even when I realize I'm being a b*tch. I stand a certain way, walk a certain way, and smile a certain way like Josef did. I'm so quite sure my previous life in being Josef is responsible for my love of cigarettes since I was never around it in this life before I started.

I've been told the same about how I look. Sometimes I can see it.

Oh wow. I've had so many lifetimes that effect me profoundly that it can be hard to distinguish which comes from which. LOL! From Hans I know that I retained the penchant for smoking (I started when I was 9 years old, thankfully I was successful in quitting 13 years ago), my clothes have to be folded a certain way, I cannot sleep on an empty stomach (he often had warm, buttered bread before going to sleep),my high expectations, & my very Scorpionic temper. Even though Scorpio is my current Ascendent sign, you could often mistake it for my Sun sign....as it was for Hans. Thankfully my temper is no longer murderous, I am no longer prejudiced, & I am much more spiritual. Sincerely, Laurasia

Geez, like Laurasia I have had so many past lives, and most of what I have retained comes from the much older ones. As fas as Anna's traits in relation to me now... I adore "vintage" everything, Queen Anne furniture (which Anna surrounded herself with), classical music and opera houses, a weakness for tall blond, blue-eyed men *wink* Inwardly, I have to say: intolerance of stupidity, feelings of superiority when dealing with immaturity, protectiveness over everything that matters to me, anxiety (which has been a pattern in all of the lives that I have recollected), and a fondness for animals.

I have always loved art, pottery and ceramics, and I have been an artist in several previous lives. Heinrich was into pottery, and in this life I have done a lot of painting. Whenever I am feeling up to it, I paint.
Blessed Be, Andi

I love classical music. Don't get me wrong, I listen to all genres, but when I hear classical music or even when they put it in a song today, it gives me goose bumps.

People always tell me I was born in the wrong time. I should have been around in the early 1900's. (well, I was...so...emmm...) I have very strict morals, get offended over things easily, I hate the way society is going with it's darn "loose-ness." I love older music and styles. I also have a real thing for military uniforms, particularly of the SS ( I own one). I also have to admit that I went through a "Neo-Nazi" phase for a year or so, just because it felt good to be home for a while. But home isn't always a safe place to be.

Laurasia, haha! That is awesome! Hans kicked ass, then ate some warm, buttered bread and schnuggled into bed. Dontcrymasha, where did you get the uniform? I want to do a past life photoshoot eventually, and yeah, it's hard to find one that isn't like $3,000. About the Neo-Nazi thing...wow, it is TOTALLY different from old school Nazi. I have watched documentaries and stuff about them and...yeah... I grew up feeling a strong need for equality, and I don't agree with their movement at all...but even with those values, I still feel that Neo-Nazis just don't have the ability to do racism with style, class, and manners like the real Nazi party did. That's a good damn thing, too, because that is one of the reasons why the Nazi party got so popular.

Well...there is this one person that I have a lot of common idiosyncrasies with and kinda the same "look in my eyes" that he had. But I like to believe I'm a better person than him... and It's unlikely that I am his reincarnation.

An interesting thread! I think I'm vastly different to Emil now, the arrogance and certainty has gone, though I think these qualities were smashed out of him towards the end of his life when he discovered the fate of his sister under the T4 program. I have his depression and his penchant for painting, I retain his love of aircraft and historical engineering! I'm a much more gentle and caring soul now I'm glad to say and have never been drawn back to the energy of those times and become a neo Nazi, quite the reverse! There's still so much I don't know about Emil, but at the core I think I'm the same. I think we take on quite varied personalities throughout incarnations, but certain traits do carry over - sometimes even tiny things like the way we stand or a dislike of something, but mostly I think we get a very clean slate and try to work through our karma with different tools as we evolve in soul terms.

But I like to believe I'm a better person than him... and It's unlikely that I am his reincarnation. I'm not at all the person I am talking about here, but I have discovered the truth: the similarities between my past life self and my present self are the fact we both enjoy travelling, have a fascination with Freemasonry, enjoy photography, have a tendency to put up with things that are less than ideal (although I am a bit more egotistical than he was), and have the ability to speak openly about the flaws that would likely have once upset us deeply. My birthmark matches the wound that caused his death, and our appearances (when you take into account sexual dimorphism and allometric growth), including body asymmetry, are very similar.
