Ach, it would seem I voted Nazi on here but my research [as well my gut feelings] taught me that I was one on paper but nowhere near an actual enthusiast?

Well given that you were apparently a member of the Nazi party (as you did say "on paper") you would still qualify as having been a Nazi. It's fine that you've expanded on that by explaining that you were not truly an enthusiast though. Sincerely, Laurasia

Hi just introducing myself. I've classed myself as ally fighter, though I worked for the resistance. I was caught imprisoned & killed before the end of the war. I am interested in reading everyone elses posts.

I was high ranking NS official. I will not use the word "nazi" as that is a derogatory word made up by the allies. we were the National Socialist German Workers' Party which later became the National socialist party or NS for short.
victim or perp is a subjective question depending on your point of view. I would really like to see if anyone on this board was burnt to death in the Dresden Bombing, or raped to death in Berlin, or starved to death in Eisenhower's death camps, or any of the genocides perpetrated by the Morgenthau plan, before pinning any labels on which side was the 'perp' and which side was the 'victim'.

I was high ranking NS official. I will not use the word "nazi" as that is a derogatory word made up by the allies. we were the National Socialist German Workers' Party which later became the National socialist party or NS for short. I'll admit I'm not a fan of the term "nazi" when it comes to describing members of the regular German armed forces as the term wouldn't have been used by them in the war but also many were not aligned to the Nazi Party and had joined up to serve their country. Also many who were too young to have voted for Hitler were then swept up with the hype of Party's promises, joining the HJ and later the SS. While I can't and won't label these people as being "evil", I believe committing atrocities on the orders of the Nazi Party can make an individual a perpetrator to the crime. As for personally being a perpetrator to Nazi's atrocities none have showed up in my PL memories so far. In fact I had a dream once where I was a German soldier trying to help Jews hide from the SS. I am still not too sure what my role was in WW2 but I have a strong feeling I was in the Wehrmacht and have memories of Germany's defeat and surrendering to the British. I was then held in a post-war allied POW camp ran by the RAF. I believe I met my real life Grandfather in this camp who was a sergeant in the RAF.
