The pope has been in the UK recently, and managed to p*ss off practically everyone by deeming the UK and atheists akin to the Nazis. This is coming from someone who joined the Hitler youth when he was 14.. BBC newsThoughts? |

How dare he act so high-and-mighty, comparing atheism with Nazism! What did the Catholic church do to stop the Shoah when it was happening? Nothing. He's contridicting himself! He wants to compare a political viewpoint which supported eradicating people of particular religions with the people of Britain not wanting to subscribe to religion? If 1930s Germany were entirely secular, there probably wouldn't have been a Holocaust.
This seems to have "publicity stunt" written all over it.
