Hello everyone.
Firstly I need to apologize for my recent absence from the internet as a whole. As you all know, my MIL had a stroke last month & I have been helping with her rehab & taking care of her in her day-to-day life.
During this time something else absolutely incredible has happened though & being away from the computer has help me in working through it & exploring it. As most of you know I have been rather "eccentric" spiritually for over 20 years now....connecting with/working with various different Deities, following/studying various spiritual paths, etc. The one thing that I had not been able to do (though my very soul has ached for it since childhood) was properly connect with the Christian aspects of the Divine. I've known that was coming from the very real & tangible disconnect from the Christian Divine that happened & so devastated my soul during my lifetime as Hans.
Well an unexpected, though extremely beneficial, "guru" has been introduced into my life & I have finally recognized him for what he is. And it has been through this person that my connection to the Christian Divine has FINALLY been re-established.
Though, of course (as those of you who know me would expect), it is not a typical or generally "accepted" Christian connection. The following day after the connection was made I was finally led to the name of the path that describes my understanding of the Divine. YES it has a name! LMAO! It is Henotheism.
Just in case any of you are unaware of what that means here is a brief description....
"Henotheism is based on the belief that a god may take any form at any time and still have the same essential nature. The central idea is that one name for a god may be used in a circumstance where a particular aspect of this god is being represented or worshiped while a different name may be given to or used to describe or worship a different aspect of the god in a different circumstance. This example does not imply the superiority of one over another, but simply that a god can exist in many forms at once and offering worship or praise using different names does not have to imply polytheism. Henotheism is sometimes considered a sophisticated version of monotheism in that it allows the worshiper to believe in essentially one Supreme Being and still appreciate and not limit the names, expressions, or manifestations used to describe it."
Just what I've always professed, but know I understand that the Christian aspect of the Divine works in that way as well. (Just don't tell "The Church".
)
So this has been huge for me & extremely healing. There have been MANY blessings come into my life since I have started with all of this & I know that many more are to come. But it is a process & one that I must take a day at a time. So please have patience with me if I seem distracted at times.
Sincerely,
Laurasia
