I've been trying to get more information about this potential past life as a Holocaust victim named Henri. The other night I was meditating and asking my guides and strongly got a knowing that my current mother was my mother in that life. Question is - assuming Henri and his mother died in 1942, and my current mother was born in 1945, can people come back so close like that?
I'm sure anything is possible in this universe - but my analytical mind wants to overthink it and wonder if that is enough time for a soul to return to a new body.

Oh I hear you loud and clear. I understand how the analytical mind works. I have that issue too. And yes there is no "rule" when it comes to how quickly a soul reincarnates. It can be possible for it to be even 5 minutes but that is the major exception, not the rule.. I died in 1943 and was born in 1975, that is 32 years. My daughter in her past life died in 1947, 2 years post war and was born in 2002, 55 years. And by the way my daughter was my mother in my last life, survived but 2 years later died. Hope that gives you some insight.

Hi Rachael. As Msmir has stated, there is no "rule" about how long after death a soul reincarnates into a new body. Generally it doesn't happen right away, but there really isn't any reason why a soul couldn't do just that either. While it's true that many souls seem to take at least some time in reincarnating, 3 years doesn't seem too odd to me. I have had some lifetimes that followed each other pretty quickly myself. (Which has led to some difficulty for me in regards to seperating one from the other since they were both during the same era & in the same general region. LOL!) While 5 minutes would be more unlikely (though I wouldn't consider it impossible either!), 3 years seems a respectable amount of time in my opinion. Sincerely, Laurasia

I think it is indeed possible to reincarnate fast. The spirit can take a new vessel as and when desired and/or necessary. However, that doesn't mean the former identity has resolved everything, which is where past life research gets interesting. If there is little or nothing that needs resolving then a person will probably not have recall or things which push themselves to fore in their new life. They may just carry over a taste for a certain era, a love of the music or the clothes from a certain period or a very deep understanding of a certain point in history.
When there are outstanding issues it can manifest in all the ways members of SR have experienced. Everything from terrifying and graphic dreams and intense flashbacks and fascinations with the Holocaust to an underlying awareness of having been there back in those days and a familiarity with the era.
I have been working on a theory about how stuff works. There are still so many unknowns in this area of research, just as there are in psychology and in the way the mind connects with the brain. I tend to think of the mind and consciousness and former identity rather like cloud based data storage. It is the only thing that makes sense when it comes to past lives. The identity can still be out there and it can interact independently of the new incarnation as it is information/data in its own right, but as soon as the incarnation or hardware consciously performs a function that accesses that information it downloads and merges, like file sharing and merging. I think as we evolve in our knowledge of computer science and AI we will really start to get more answers about ourselves and the nature of certain spiritual phenomena too.
In one of my readings I was told that there are many identities out there which have been cast aside after death. Past life healing is probably when we merge that data/those identities that belong to our spirits and heal their outstanding issues by exploring them and working through them.

I feel that my mom is the same as last time. Not sure exactly but there are many clues. And in such case she would have to die and reincarnate within a year.
Storm, I like your idea about "cloud storage". I experience it in a similar way. I've heard a good comparison, that we are like the base tone and the PL's are overtones. Like layers in an onion. They seem to interact, or aspects of them coming into, and having to do with our current lives.
All the best, Demi

The data cloud idea makes a lot of sense to me, too. And if other people also have access to these data clouds, instead of only the reincarnated person, this would at least explain why some people have memories of past lives which they didn't had - why there are so many reincarnated Cleopatras running around for example Souls, who had famous past lives, would maybe like to share their memories with others, so that many more souls can benefit and learn from these rare experiences of famous/historically important lives. lg Sunstar

Ultimately, everything is a data cloud - the human mind, when clear and free of clutter, has the ability to read & cognize absolutely everything that existed/exists in the Universe. The question is why do certain people "download" certain past lives. Could that be more than a mere coincidence, that they are downloading just that? All the best, Demi
