Hello. (On a side note, these emoticons are cute.) As you can see, I am new here. Perhaps my past life memories are locked away for good reason, and therefore my own may not be as vivid as yours or any other user in this forum. I can only vaguely imagine how terrible the Holocaust was on a personal level. Some documented videos I seen in high school have certainly made me cry. Still though, the concept of reincarnation fascinates me. I also believe this forum can help me be relieved of any subtle woes lingering in my soul. Anyway, yes, through the other threads available here, I will tell my feelings and other things relevant to what this forum is about. My username, Excitable Nihilist, is simply satirical, but sometimes it also seriously applies to me. Basically my username represents one who thinks life has no specific meaning, can be excited by anything proving otherwise. For example, someone says life is meaningless, but then they are easily excited by the theories, concepts, and facts about life. Reincarnation brings on a broader meaning of life for me.

Hello EN. (I hope that you don't mind me shortening your username like that. LOL!) Again, welcome to the forum. (I'm glad that you like the emoticons. I like that they offer a way to lend some "emotion" to what is being said, since bare text can be so easily misinterpreted.) Many of us have only vague recollections about our past lives. And even those of us with very vivid recollections unfortunately do not have that be the case with all of our recollections. (Which can be REALLY irritating when the rest of them are so clear. ) Knowledge of ones past incarnations definitely does bring a broader meaning to life, since it helps you to pick up on your souls path & see that "there is more to all of this". Sincerely, Laurasia

Hello EN. (I hope that you don't mind me shortening your username like that. LOL!) It's cool with me. Go 'head and call me EN. Again, welcome to the forum. (I'm glad that you like the emoticons. I like that they offer a way to lend some "emotion" to what is being said, since bare text can be so easily misinterpreted.) Many of us have only vague recollections about our past lives. I guess it's better we don't fully remember the cruelties we experienced. Reincarnation gives us a new slate... Not necessarily a clean slate, but you know what I mean. But I do understand the power of remembering past lives, what with learning from the memories in so many ways. Very curious subject, reincarnation is. Thank you for your warm welcome, Laurasia. By the way, I like your username. If you don't mind me asking, is it actually your name or is it a combination of "Laura" and "Asia?" Laurasia. (Chuckles.) ;D

Hi EN. Thanks for the compliment. Actually I'm a Pagan & "Laurasia" is my craft name. I chose it because it is an earth-based name (Laurasia was one of the two original continents before they divided into the ones that we have nowadays) & is very grounding. I'm a double Gemini, so I tend to be rather "airy". Sincerely, Laurasia

I guess it's better we don't fully remember the cruelties we experienced. It depends how we handle it. If there are obstacles in our current life which come from the past, it can be a tool for healing, and/or deeper understanding. If one is not ready, it's probably best not to remember. I believe we are given to see only what we are ready to see. All the best Demi
