Hello! Welcome to Media Room!
On this thread I want to share music, pictures, movie clips and other media which I like and which in various ways relates to me and the healing process, and which I think some of you might also enjoy. (Feel free to add interesting stuff in a sharing mode!) [/b]
This uplifting song is from Rihanna's songwriter Ester Dean. In my opinion, an amazing voice. It's about a break-up, but it's really about listening to that inner voice telling you that you are invincible, no matter what.

Kashmir - Lampshade (1999)
There are different opinions what this masterpiece of lyric writing by band songwriter Kasper is about, but to me the last part of the song is most haunting. (The images doesn't go with the song, but it's the best quality sound of all.)
(The part which starts 3:45)
tell me lampshade the truth did you cover his soul did you protect all the horrible I shall tear you apart so that everyone knows what he's been carrying around
tell me lampshade what is it you're trying to hide under your stinky old corduroy I shall rip and be shattered by the sharpnel of light that I've been choking on always
there's a dog barking close within the range of my ear sounds like he wants to escape the chain he would probably bite me to death if he could but the chain lets me spit in his face
like the dog has a chain clinging tight to it's neck this man is tied to his secrecy I would like to have killed him off in this last verse but instead I removed his lampshade...

Closterkeller - Wladza (Authority)
In my opinion, one of the strongest songs by Polish goth band Closterkeller. Anja Orthodox amazing voice and lyrics. The song is in Polish but I added an English translation.
A lie hits from behind A lie hits from the front Behind me there's a poster In front of me there's a war, a nightmare of famine They teach me how to hate When I stare at the screen When I close my eyes I'm going back to Hell again
Power is like a drug Power is a great strength It awakens love and fear Sometimes it also kills It promises you so much It is swathing the truth in words When you kneel down will give you a hand but it can kill too.
They were drinking the words from his mouth As he hovered above them on big posters In their eyes they had a reflection of his face They were dying one by one only in order to serve him Hell was on the Earth He stood at the top
All the best, Demi

Amazing and though provoking story. The boy who remembers his past life as a WW2 pilot and meets with the people he knew last time, remembering their names.
