I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday yesterday. Miss Bothmann & I didn't get the house decorated as early as we usually do because of the bronchitis, but that's okay. We spent the day before Halloween/Samhain carving our numerous Jack-O-Lantern's, as usual. We made a witch costume for Bobbie (our lovebird) & she actually stayed still in it long enough for me to get a clear picture of her! LOL! I wasn't sure what I was going to do for Axel (our mouse) since last years costume (a ghoul made out of a sock which I placed him in) was a bit terrifying for him to get into. Instead I opted to place him underneath my Jason Vorhees mask & take a picture of him crawling out of the eye hole. He liked that much better! LOL! Halloween/Samhain night was spent the way that it always is for us....in a darkened basement, lit by a Jack-O-Lantern, with plenty of treats , watching the Ghost Hunters live investigation. And handing out candy whenever a trick-or-treater decided to stop by. ;D (Living so rurally we one get about 6 trick-or-treaters per year though.) So how was everyone else's Halloween/Samhain? Did you dress up? Go to a party? Watch Ghost Hunters' live show? Attend a circle? Sincerely, Laurasia

Well... Halloween was spent in the company of my microbio class peering through the lenses of microscopes. Unfortunately, I had classes, so I couldn't really dress up ON that day... but I did go to a few parties, where I did dress up! I live on the Eastern Seaboard, so we got hit with a ton of snow a month or two before we were actually prepared for it. Downed tree branches (a few hit my house, actually! I thought someone fell each time it happened!), downed wires, blackouts... I was fortunate; I didn't lose electricity or Internet, and I spent much of my weekend working on two projects that were due yesterday and today. Friday, I went down to this amusement park with friends for a park-wide Halloween party, and a friend and I celebrated the fact that some of my anxiety has eased up to the point where I can ride roller coasters! (Back when I was 15, not so much. A thousand and one irrational little fears, but at the time they were very real. So I stopped going on them.) That went well, except for the guy behind us betting ten dollars that I'd puke by the end of the ride. Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence, guy. Saturday, I went to a classmate's house for a party! It was really interesting; she had it in the basement, and since the power was out, she'd set up lots of candles around her house. We ended up playing Monopoly and card games, and I was one of exactly two guests that night! There were supposed to be others, but downed trees and wires made that impossible... I also ended up going to a haunted house in an old prison, with my father. So much fun! I love haunted houses so much; I'd love to be an actor/actress in one at least once! No ghost followed me home this year, though. The last time I went (back when I was a freshman), a ghost literally followed me home. I didn't even know that could happen! So other than the two projects, my Halloween weekend went pretty well, I'd say!

Wow, eiszeit! I'm sorry to hear you were hit by the bad weather out there! Hope everything is ok with you and everyone else in that region!
My Halloween was spent sitting alone in my pajamas on the internet, wherein I was totally caught off guard by the fact that someone actually stopped by my house, which I was completely not expecting! I couldn't answer the door so I just ignored it, but all the same, haha, next year I'll have candy or something. (I mean, other than the bulk bag of candy corn we bought.)
We're not too big of celebrators I guess. :/
