I also do not feel that it is disrespectful to people who have PSTD from current life situations for us to accept that we can & sometimes do carry it from previous lifetimes ourselves. In my own case I have PTSD from both current lifetime & previous lifetime situations. In some ways (for myself at least) the PTSD from previous lifetimes can sometimes be worse than the PTSD from this lifetime. That's because the people involved in the instances from previous lifetimes are not as "reachable" as the ones within my current lifetime, so there is a sense of not being able to properly find closure with those situations. So it really is true that it is best to try & work through such issues before we pass on & drag them through into our next lives.
And I think that there is much credence in what you say about the current state of the world, Lizzie. We live in a time when being frantic about every little thing (whether it affects us personally or not) is actively encouraged by many (most damningly the network news/media). It can be hard to detach oneself from such a constant sense of doom, but it is crucial for our own well being to do just that.
Sincerely, Laurasia

I try to actively avoid the news Laurasia, honestly when you actually sit back and look at it in a detached way, you just think...OK yes, there's awful things going on out there, but for every murder there is a good deed somewhere I'm sure:-) I think our media does nothing but promote misery and panic, not to mention paranoia. And as for all the hatred the papers stir up with regards to immigrants, it chills me, there's a real rise in Nazi sympathies at the moment, just go on any yahoo news forum and you'll see the hate. Sometimes, I feel like I want to set sail for a beautiful deserted island somewhere and close the door on the rest of the world!!

Hi Eiszeit. I also take in others' energies very easily & can tell you that you should DEFINITELY be using a shield! If you need any pointers on how to use them just let me know. I'm glad to see that talking to the counselor regularly has been helping you, hon. As for you creating a thread for venting about everything that you're dealing with...that's what the forum is here for hon! Sincerely, Laurasia OMG I could use a shield, I just relate to everything you say. Also I relate to having the issues that I posted in the other thread about anxiety and depression etc. I was diagnosed with Anxiety Personality Disorder. Meditation saves my life. But it's not enough sometimes I just feel SOO sensitive being out there in "society". Btw I was always afraid of going to a PL shrink because they might say something like I was a Nazi! Now I have my own experiences which taught me to not be afraid of PL shrinks anymore. At least thats the positive side of things...!! Demi

Sincerely, Laurasia I did a PTSD test and it showed positive for MANY points even tho I have not experienced such things this life time. Oops btw I have, when I was 6 months old. But I don't remember it being scary, as a little baby I did not understand what was going on... ! My mom was amazed me remembering everything in spite of being so young.

Hi Demi. YES...definitely start using a shield & make it a part of your everyday life. It should help you out quite a bit. If you need any help in figuring out how best to do that don't hesitate to let me know, hon. Sincerely, Laurasia
