Ok like I had said in my Parallel Universe post that Brooklyn fan had triggered me to say more about the "unknown", well here it is. How about when we DO pass on, where do our souls *really* go? I even wrote about this in my first book (which I will soon take off the market and reconstruct for plenty of reasons of my own... and besides, the more experience I have gained through writing I see it still needs tonnes of work).. so yes I will talk a bit about the astral planes. It has been said there are 3 main ones, which is the low, middle and high astral planes. There are lots of debate about what is really seen in these "areas" if you want to call it that. You also have sub areas of each plane too. For instance, the low astral plane is equivalent to "Hell/Purgatory", and the mid and high astral planes are the equivalent to "Heaven" when it comes to what Christians, Jews and I think even Muslims are known to believe.
The astral planes are all about like attracting like. If you live a very negative life, have hurt others, including yourself, and all you cared about was money and nothing else, you will likely stay nearly earthbound which is considered to be in the low astral plane (being earthbound is not, you are literally trapped on earth in spirit and that is due to trauma).. but the area is supposed to be very dreary and dark. Unsure about the fire and Satan, etc.. I think it all depends too on what the person believed in, and on a soul level knows he or she created a lot of negativity.. therefore would see that as Hell. I have also heard that if someone created a lot of harm due to mental illnesses and say committed suicide in the end.. that soul will end up still in the low astral plane, but not in the lowest part. There is supposedly like a "hospital" area there, which souls who have suffered due to mental illness and created a lot of negativity as a result end up there and are helped by their spirit guides to rise up.
The mid astral plane is interesting though. This is where the "average Joes" end up. Those who are generally good people, and tried their best in many ways but at the same time still had a somewhat materialistic way of thinking and behaving (hehe yeah like me and like.. well again the "average Joe").. the mid astral planes are said to be very pleasant and have surroundings of what you would consider to be "Heaven"... I guess it is all relative. For instance if your idea of "Heaven" is lying on a beach, well this is how you will see it there. You will rest a lot. But at the same time it is not all a free ride, there is still "work" that needs to be done there.. and it is up to your soul what kind of work you want to do to evolve even more. You can choose to guide the living in some situations, as well as those in the low astral plane to help them ascend, or you could do some work that needs to be done there, it is so hard to say. But I know there are sections of the mid astral planes where you do your pre-birth planning and talk with your guides. The guides work in this plane as well.
And the high astral plane is there "exceptional people" who die end up. These are the ones who are completely selfless and pay very little attention to materialism except when it comes to their own and loved ones survival, and are giving and loving despite hardships they had on Earth. I am unsure of how this appears... but it is the lightest part of the astral planes.
If one ends up in the low astral plane after death, then the soul cannot ascend any higher until it learns its lessons there. Same goes for souls in the mid astral planes cannot ascend to the higher ones (and I don't think that happens often, because most souls that go directly to the mid astral planes after death stay there and then if they come back they have to plan for the birth there anyway).. but souls from the high astral planes can go down to the mid and low for the purpose of teaching souls what they need. And souls from the mid astral planes can go down to the low astral planes and this is what happens often anyway.. guides go down to help souls that are in the low astral planes evolve (and that also depends on whether the soul wants help too).
I personally think it does make sense, but again I am interested in hearing in what the take that others have on this.
