I have just seen what appears to be 1 person viewing the Member's only section. Yet, only myself, as an invisible member, and 1 Guest was on the site. I was not viewing that section at the time, so the person was not me.
I am now extremely concerned about the security of our private information. Stuff which we would not wish to share beyond members. Please can one of the Admin explain why this happened?
Are there any circumstances where a Guest can view the Member only section? And if not, why did it show up that there was a Guest viewing? Or is an Admin able to view the Member only section as a Guest?
I deleted a lot of my story from the boards which are accessible by everyone and re-wrote aspects of my story today on the Member only section. I do not really want to go and delete it again. Also I wanted to continue to post on the new thread about my experience as means of trying to build up a serious investigative process into my case. I am not comfortable doing so if people other than Members can see it.
I hope it's Ok to question this as I am genuinely concerned with security issues.
Thanks x

I have seen this myself from time to time..but not only in the Member's Only forum. I have seen in in others as well. I think I know why it could be doing it. Sometimes, when you first leave a section that you had just viewed, it will still say that there is someone viewing it. That person viewing it was in fact..me..only a moment before. I have seen this happen on other ProBoard sites as well. My opinion is that it is nothing to be concerned about.

Guests cannot see any activity inside of the members only forum Other than just seeing that someone is viewing it. Nothing to worry about.

Ok, great, thanks. It's just that I do not want to post any more stuff about my situation on the open forum. so the only place I feel able to post now really in detail is the member only one.

Indeed guests cannot view the content of the Members Only forum. If they click on it to try they are taken to a screen that informs them that they have to be a registered member of the forum in order to view it. Come to think of it, if a guest does try to view that forum by clicking on the link it may very well come through as "someone viewing it" to the rest of us. But no, unregistered guests cannot view that forum. I think that what Miss Bothmann mentioned is probably the actual culprit though. Many times I have had the forum tell me that "someone is viewing X forum" when I have just left it myself & am the only person on the site. Sincerely, Laurasia
