This song, again, I do not relate directly to Hans' life. I connect with this song because it reminds me of just how far I have come, on a soul level, since Hans' self-destruction & death. And the sheer amount of emotion that Jared embues this song with in the way that he sings it makes that connection even stronger. Here are the lyrics...

This is one of the songs that Hans connects with the most.

This song echoes Hans' feelings about life within the camps to me.
Take the time just to listen, when the voices screaming are much too loud.

I have a big connection to swing/big band music and stuff with gypsy influences like Django Reinhardt. However, I didn't know if anyone else appreciates the album Aeroplane over the sea, by Neutral Milk Hotel? It was written by the lead single, Jeff Magnum, who has talked about possible PL beliefs and written as a love song to Anne Frank. Awwwww That song is so sweet, especially given the way it connects to you and Miss Bothmann. I love hearing stories of souls who have reconnected over hundreds, thousands, ten thousands of years... It gives me so much hope and makes me happy. And I love "Never Again". Disturbed's music is great for powerful emotions, and this is certainly a subject that stirs up some strong ones. |

I have quite a few but some RATM, Rise against, NIN and Korn songs bring me back a bit. However its generally certain sounds, notes or riffs in a song that strike a chord rather then the whole song itself if that makes sense?

"The Noose" by A Perfect Circle
To me, this song is a strong reminder that as former perpetrators of something as awful as the Holocaust we must keep in mind that, oftentimes, just remembering what happened & realizing how very much we have evolved on a soul level is not enough...we need to actively do something to heal the damage that has occured.
