There is something that has interested me as I've 'observed' discussions - it is that of noticing a particular 'emotional' connection to a specific 'period' or 'point' in time. For example - those of you involved with the Holocaust, seem to be most strongly connected to those years and not really the years prior. While for me - it seems to be the 1920's to about '32 (if I were to combine my memories of the Handelsmarine and the young lady who was my first wife). I wonder if this is because of the emotional aspect (as I have mentioned above)...but am interested in hearing others' views on this.

That's kind of what I thought too McCoy.
I guess what intrigues me the most is, with regards to my own situation, that the time that seems to stand out the most was my service on the Cape Horn ships and then my relationship with my first wife...and not the U-Boat stuff (which might amaze some).
I think there are two factors that are the cause of this - the first is that of not being reincarnated by birth. I think that if I were reincarnated by birth and not by way of soul exchange, the U-Boat aspect would be of greater interest to me and the other stuff would probably be viewed in the more 'pedestrian' (ho hum) sort of way.
The second factor is best described using a quote from one of my U-Boat books:
"Many of the U-boat survivors with whom I talked couldn't remember much about the various attacks they had made on convoys. Performed correctly, such an attack is a rather unexciting affair. Sneak in, shoot some torpedoes, sneak out. Just another day on the job for a U-boatman, but of course, potentially much more eventful for those on the other end of the transaction." - Robert Stern, "Battle Beneath the Waves"
As the quote states - U-Boat attacks, if done correctly, were rather unexciting. This is how I view my U-Boat involvement. It would be interesting to, if possible, get someone who is reincarnated by birth who served in the U-Boats and compare how they view their service with me. I'd be really interested in such a comparison so as to show the 'effects' of the differences in the reincarnation 'forms'.

Interesting point - but I wouldn't know unless I would actually meet some others to find out for sure.

Hi Prien.
It would definitely be interesting if we did get a new member who also recalls serving in the U-Boats so the two of you could compare expereinces! Hopefully that will happen someday. ;D
Sincerely, Laurasia

Hello Yes I would really be interested in that. It would help me get some better 'perspective' on my own situation through the comparison. That's one reason why I like to post here as it has helped me through compare/contrast of the situations (reincarnation by birth 'vs' soul exchange) to understand where I am with things and why things are the way they are in my life.
