Yesterday morning we got a surprise when we uncovered Bobbie's (our lovebird's) cage....she had laid an egg! With no mate! How funny is that? LOL!

How cool! It needs to be fertilized! Are you planning on mating her up?

No we are not mating her up with anyone. MissBothmann's mother is keeping the egg, since it is her only "grandchild". We lost our 17-year-old lovebird, Sam, earlier this year...but he certainly never left us any eggs! LOL! Sincerely, Laurasia

If a boy bird gave you guys an egg, THAT would be awesome. Aww...that her grandbaby? So cute! I am sorry that the birdie died...but 17 years for a bird is a long time!

She went & laid another one 4 days after this first one too! So now she has 2 grandbabies. LOL!
Yeah it was REALLY bad losing Sam. But getting Bobbie (as well as my baby, Axel) has helped us all to deal with the loss of Sam tremendously.

She is an egg laying machine, haha! I think it is great that you brought a cute little ball of happy into your life and that it helped with the pain.
