We here at Soul Reconciliations believe in freedom of speech. While we do our best to stand strong behind this idea, we also want this to be a safe place for people to come together, heal & discuss a topic (our past incarnations) that can sometimes bring ridicule when discussed elsewhere. Therefore we do realize that a few rules must be established. By posting on this forum you agree with these rules.
While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we think appropriate to ensure that these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
Behavior:
* Be civilized or get lost.
* Holocaust denial, promoting racism, drugs, suicide, self-harm, homophobia, etc. is not allowed. Posts containing this will be deleted & (depending on the severity) any member doing such will likely find themselves banned from the site.
* Don't cause drama. We're here to heal, learn from one another, discuss topics that we may not feel safe discussing elsewhere, & to have a good time. Do not ruin that. Threads will be locked, & members possibly banned, when we feel it is going too far.
* Any public derogatory remarks or bad-mouthing regarding the forum by a registered member will be grounds for banning, since such conduct clearly indicates that they are not happy in being a member of our community.
* Repeated deletion & reinstatement of your account will result in an IP banning. To repeatedly do this is very disruptive to the forum & will not be tolerated.
* Do not flame, or insult, another member. Such messages will always be edited out or subject to deletion, with the offending member facing possible banning. Flaming against any religion because of their beliefs will not be tolerated either. Holocaust denial, vulgar language, harassment, derogatory slurs, sexism, & slander will not be tolerated. Neither will any members' pictures containing inappropriate messages or themes.
* Do not copy anything that a member has posted to use elsewhere without that members' expressed permission. You may contact them via PM or email if you want to inquire about using any of their material.
* We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
* Use common courtesy. Treat other forum members the way that you would like to be treated.
* Be careful how you write your messages as interpretation will vary from person to person. Please take advantage of the built-in emoticons to add expression to your words.
* While outright flaming & insulting is strictly against the rules, also do not take another members' conflicting views as personal criticism either.
* Do not call other members liars. Some of us have indeed lived what are considered to be "famous/infamous past lives". While it is true that there was "only one Cleopatra", there most definitely was a Cleopatra & therefore she/he is probably incarnated somewhere. And it is true that people can often have been so close to a famous person in a previous incarnation that they can mistakenly believe that they were indeed that person. However, that is not always the case either. So if a member claims a "famous past life" & you do not believe them, do not approach that member on the forums with your opinions. We should all feel safe here to discuss past incarnations that other people typically give us grief over &, having lived a "famous past life" myself, I know that they most definitely fall under that category. If you do feel that there is a member making outrageous or ridiculous claims about a "famous past life" then send a PM to a member of the Site Staff about the matter.
Language:
* All posts have to be in English. Short foreign greetings to one another within a post are one thing, completely posting in another language is something else entirely. If you want to speak other languages stick to PMs or converse with one another via an instant messager or a social networking website. Anything we do not understand will be deleted.
* On that account...stick to proper English! No slang, text-speak etc. (U kno wot I mean, rite?). Use capitals where they are needed, do not write all in caps, & don't TyPe LiKe ThIs - it is very annoying. Speak English, and speak it correctly, or don't bother. Grab a dictionary & use it. Run your post through a spellcheck before submitting it if necessary...please. All of our eyes will thank you.
Posting:
* Do not double post. Allow other users to reply before you post again. If you forgot something in your original post, use the edit function to fix it.
* If you want to post a picture on the forum, please make sure it is no bigger than 400x400 pixels. (There are instances when this rule may be overlooked. However, images of a larger size will only be allowed with Site Administrator approval.)
* New topics should have descriptive titles. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", "I have a question!" are subject to being edited.
* Do not post any personal information. Better safe than sorry. Any information such as your address or phone number will be deleted if posted.
* Posting private discussions (conducted through e-mail or instant messaging) can be done only with permission from the original individual(s).
* Discussion of illegal activities such as music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
* Check if a topic already exists before you open a new one. This goes for ALL forums. The search button is your friend & is rather masochistic. It likes to be used, so use it. And please keep posts within the proper forums.
* Give warning of any possibly disturbing content within both the title & posts of the threads. There are bound to be threads here with content that other members could possibly find disturbing (such as the threads in which reincarnated Nazis post their recollections). Therefore, if you are putting up a thread (or post) that contains content that could possibly be disturbing to others, always give sufficient warning from the very start. Use bold &/or red text for your warning just to be sure that it will be noticed by other members.
User ID:
* Creating a user ID with the sole purpose of promoting other websites and generating traffic to those sites will be considered spam and is not allowed.
* Each member is allowed one user ID. Registering with multiple IDs is not allowed. If we find out that you have another user ID, it will be deleted. This rule may be overlooked under certain circumstances. Always check with the Site Administrator first, however!
Forum features:
* Animated signatures and avatars are NOT allowed. The maximum size of avatars is 100x100 pixels and the maximum size of signatures is 200 pixels high or 500 pixels wide (pictures that are 200 pixels x 500 pixels are not allowed). Keep them as small as possible. Work with us on this. Believe it or not there are still people who use a dial-up connection & we want to keep this forum up and running for everyone. Inappropriate avatars and signatures will be removed and the user sent a PM.
Finally:
* Do not argue with the enforcement of these rules. If you are asked to comply, comply.
* These rules can change without prior notice.
* If the staff feels it is necessary an account will be banned without warning.
* If you have a different opinion on how a forum should be ran, respect our view and move on.
Sincerely,
Laurasia
