I just wanted to start the thread by saying that my heart goes out to everyone affected by one mad-man's lunacy. Such things should never happen. So has anyone else seen this movie yet? Miss Bothmann & I have seen it twice already & absolutely LOVE it. And I, true to form, am now in love with the villain...Bane. (I ALWAYS connect with the villains! ) Of course, it doesn't hurt that he is so damn easy on the eyes. There were some VERY "Reich-ish themes" in this film which were a bit unsettling for me at first, but once I was aware that they were happening I knew what to expect. Anyone that is a reincarnated Holocaust victim may have some difficulty with some of the scenes though. So just be aware of the possibility before heading out if you were a victim...especially from the ghettos &/or one of the occupied territories. If you have seen it, what did you think in general? Did you like it? How about the...twist? ( I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen the movie, so I'll say it like that. If you have seen it then you should know what I'm referring to. ) I will just say that the "twist" left me somewhat disappointed. There were other ways of revealing those things besides making such...sacrifices with such an important character. Any writer should know that. You just don't do that to your audience. Sincerely, Laurasia

It is beyond sad that idiocy really knows no bounds. The world is hard enough without people making it worse. That aside, I have not seen it yet do to my clinical lack of money. One of my co-workers whose a huge comics buff saw it though and loved it. He was especially glad that they kept the movie true to the original comic - he was afraid they'd try to re-engineer it or something out of fear of audience disapproval. (as it usually turns out that way when marketing a comic for a non-comic audience) So while it may be shocking for people not versed with the comics it does in fact play a part in the larger picture to come. So he very much approved it! (and besides, movie villains are always the most interesting characters. Something about character development and deeper range of emotion - imo anyway. Most hero's always seem too 2D to me.)
