Ah ok...you're speaking Greek to me on that as I don't follow that... I'm Finnish Pagan - Theistic Agnostic (I don't worship gods or goddesses though, nor cast spells - Finnish Paganism is different than other types of Paganism). That's cool that you provide that Thanks for the compliment! I wasn't sure how I'd be received here...so thanks for the warm welcome. I've done crystal therapy myself, but mostly work with essences and homeopathy. I like stuff that works subconsciously.

Welcome. I am hoping to check your site out soon. I was a Nazi in my previous life, but perished before the war had broken out. I am a Wiccan, and know very little about Finnish Paganism. Do you believe in any kind of diety? Do you believe in the Universe in general?
Blessed Be, Andi

Haha, it really figures that the Greco-Roman Recon is "speaking Greek!" Oh, for sure, most Recons/Pagans do not have the magic ingrained in their religion, so that doesn't surprise me. That is why I always try to mention the fact that I'm a kitchen witch in addition to a Pagan. I am only familiar with Asatru in the Northern pantheons, so I think I will look up Finnish Pagans, if I remember, haha! Thanks! I like to view the people here as brethren; we might not have had identical struggles, but they were struggles set into motion by the same group. I try in addition to not be a complete b$tch, haha! Oh, that is cool! Homeopathic stuff is interesting, is it not?

Re Andi: I don't believe in any 'deities' (so I understand that would throw me in the - sometimes notorious - Atheist barrel...but I do feel, and believe there is 'A Force'). I feel that I am a part of this 'Force' - it is neither out of reach, nor am I separate from it...it's all pervasive. The Wiccans sometimes call it 'The Powers that Be' - that's what I associate with. Regarding the Universe - I feel that it is impartial. I know this may shock some, but to me it is impartial. Re SweetLunaPie: This is about Finnish Paganism - what I copied is what I follow to an extent: This is a part of my path (minus the gods and goddesses): Finnish Heathenism: indigocrescent.com/id40.html"Too often, Finnish Paganism is considered part of the Nordic Heathenism – this is incorrect. Finnish Heathenism pre-dates Nordic Heathenism and the two forms of Paganism are observed very differently. Finnish Heathenism is a Shamanic belief system – the Native Americans fashioned their belief system on that of the Ancient Finns. A study of both systems will reveal the great many similarities. On the other hand, the Nordic Heathenism, whilst Nature-based, is not predominantly Shamanic.
Finnish Paganism holds no absolute rules, but instead each pagan has to make their own decisions on how to practice Paganism.
Finnish magick is pragmatic. The magician is not bound by any traditionally established ritual or method of practise. It is believed that the most powerful magick is born of spontaneity and creativity.
The ancient Finns were of the mindset that life is your preparation for ritual. The ritual itself is merely the projection of the magician’s personality to effect change, thus the magician should live a magickal life, the characteristics which should include attention, compassion, courage, intuition, spontaneity, imagination and of course sisu. Sisu is summed up in an old Finnish proverb – "Strong will takes a person even through stone.". The Finns have through history been noted for their resilience. Sisu is not just a positive attitude or bravery – it is a philosophy that what must be done will be done, regardless of the cost. It is a philosophy of integrity. Sisu has allowed the Finns to survive 42 wars with Russia – losing all of them. Sisu allowed the Finns to repay their war debts even when wealthier countries chose not to. Sisu sums up to an indomitable will and this is the secret not only of their survival but to their magick as well. Finns, unlike the Nords, were peaceful and benevolent people.. In fact, theirs is the only national epic whose central theme is not based around conflict, but when conflict becomes inevitable, the warrior enters into it with his or her entire being..
Finnish Magick does not rely on spells and charms so much as it requires the magician to hone and use his/her own powers to effect change. As it should be."
Yes I do love Homeopathy! It has helped me heal the Fibromyalgia that I had. I have CFS but am working on helping that get better naturally too.

Re SweetLunaPie: For the pain I found the Rhus Tox (Poison Ivy) the most helpful. Other helpful homeopathic items - Arnica (both pill and gel)...other ones I've taken: Lycopodium clavatum, Sulphur, Pulsatilla,...whoo boy, I can't remember some of the others. Right now I'm taking two for my CFS - Calcarea Carbonica and Silica/Silicea (I had taken Plumbum/Lead and another I can't remember the name of at the moment...*laughs*) . But definitely Rhus Tox for the pain and Arnica gel. Also Magnesium...that's a definite. Re MsMir: It's ok You're more than welcome to join I agree it's very hard to find 'positive' groups. I didn't feel like the EK group was 'positive' - proactive with regards to healing, etc. Thanks

Yep I still use the gel every now and then - my favorite is the Boericke & Tafel brand as it is just the Arnica in a Witch Hazel base...

Heya Tucker! *laughs* Msmir I could never follow that stuff - I think I'm too rebellious in a sense. Although, it does behoove one to pay attention a bit with regards to the tides and the moon if involved in raiding enemy harbors... (I'm serious in that statement actually.)

Prien, I can't say that I necessarily blame you.. I tend to do things I should not doing.. say Mercury in retrograde which is coming up in a few weeks, ugh...that is when new things should not be started and.. watch me start some new things or buy new things then LOL..

Prien! I'm so glad that you found us, welcome to the forum. ;D I haven't been active on Ewige Kameraden in quite some time myself either. I tend to like more healing mixed in with my "reminiscing about the old days" as well. That's why I made this forum...so we can remember & heal together. And I remember quite well the reception that your discussions on healing essences received over there. It's a shame. But, oh my goodness, I remember when you & I first met in that group! Remember? You thought that I was the Hans Bothmann that served on your U-boat? I hadn't even come across that particular Hans until you sent me his picture saying that it was a picture of "me". LOL! I didn't know what to say until I realized that he & I had had the same name in that lifetime. That was too funny. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy yourself here with us. Sincerely, Laurasia

Hey there! I'm happy to have found this place as well! I feel the same way you do - the mix of healing with the reminiscing/remembering. I am fully with you on that! Yeah that was difficult to hear - but you know, I figured I wasn't going to force or push it - but I'm the type to say if people don't want to try to help themselves heal, then they shouldn't b*tch! So that's a big reason why I left...and I know you remember much of the rest... Yeah the name thing was really bizarre! I have your site here linked in my group so people can easily 'bounce back and forth' between the two. You are more than welcome to join as well!
