Hello SS3.
As I told you before I can understand your want for such privacy. We have the Members Only forum for members to place material that they do not want the general public, but rather only forum members, to view. For some that may not seem to be private enough either. However, there would be no more real privacy in creating a password protected forum as there is no way for the staff to actually screen members who ask for the password to such forums. Basically it would be the same as having the Members Only forum....just with more steps to get access to it.
When I suggested that individuals who wish for personalized screening create a personal blog/on-line journal I certainly did not mean that they should become an "active blogger". My own website, Remembering Hans, is technically meant to be a blog (though I have it set up publically), but I do not have the time to use it as such. I simply add entries to it whenever I have the urge/need, just as I do when I post on the forum. In your own case, you have a plethora of posts already created in your thread which you could copy & paste into such a site as your first "entries". But, again, you would have the ability to make those entries as public or as private as you would wish to.
The fact that there really is not a way to make any boards truly private on our forum is not the only reason that I am against attempting such measures though either. In my years within the WWII/Holocaust reincarnation community I have seen rampant (& sometimes completely unreasonable) paranoia abound. Of course I understand that this phenomena is so prevelant due to the type of lifetimes we have all previously experienced. That being said though such rampant paranoia can be detrimental to a group when left unchecked, but it is detrimental to groups most especially when it is encouraged. We are all here to heal from such issues as unreasonable paranoia within our current lifetimes. And, no, I am not trying to infer that you are being unreasonably paranoid in what you are saying now SS3. However attempting to provide such "provisions" for members (as I mentioned earlier, what you ask is actually quite impossible to guarantee) could certainly foster unreasonable paranoia for others.
As I have always told members...we are all free to share as much or as little as we are comfortable with sharing. Part of our healing is to trust the other members of this forum with what we share. If there are members who wish to have absolute control over exactly who can view more sensitive material that they wish to share, then the only true way to do that would be to create their own blog/on-line journal (again not to be used as an active blog, but rather as a safe place for the more sensitive recollections & thoughts) with which they can control the privacy settings.
I hope that everyone can understand the staffs views on this matter. We are here to share & heal with one another, not to wall ourselves off from each other. If members do have things which are too sensitive to share with fellow members (I have things like this myself which I have never shared with anyone) than they should either keep them to themselves for the time being or create a space where they have personal control over exactly who can view them.
I would certainly hope that not everything involving ones' WWII past life was so sensitive that they felt they couldn't share any of it with the rest of the membership. If that is the case, those members may want to seriously look at how much fear/anxiety they may have carried over into their current incarnation. (Again that was not in reference to you personally, SS3. I was referring to the membership in general.)
Sincerely,
Laurasia
