Hello...
I just joined yesterday and I'm still getting up to speed and reading through posts here, I'm really excited to see a section devoted to the Kreigsmarine and U-boat crews, even if our numbers are small! I introduced myself formally on the main forum and was telling everyone about my PLR where it seemed I served in the German Navy as I think Lietnant zer se on the Scharnhorst (sorry, I know that's probably not the right spelling, despite my past life, my German is ropey to say the least!!lol) I have only a few sketchy details, but from what I saw in the regression I was on board a ship which carried aircraft, I always had more of a thing for planes and the Luftwaffe, so was surprised to see myself in the Navy! I certainly feel very comfortable on ships having said that, and do have a bit of a horror about submarines (yes, I have watched 'Das boot' and found it engrossing!)
I got the feeling that I was transferring from Luftwaffe to Kreigsmarines, but don't know if this was possible, though I have heard of Borde-flieger-gruppe 192, the branch of the Luftwaffe that flew from the primitive aircraft carrying ships (this is post-regression, which makes it seem spooky). Anyway, I ended my regression saying that I was 'a lousy *effing* pilot! So heaven knows what happened. There's just so much I don't know and would like to find out, I've not had particularly vivid dreams about this life, aside from being on this train which carried personnel to the dockyard, it feels very familiar, I also felt a horror about the city of Magdeburg under hypnosis, and I see its a port town on the Elbe. I was from Austria originally, and born around 1925. I don't know for certain how I died or where, but as I found a crew member on the Scharnhorst list of lost servicemen that fitted my name and dates, I think I might have died then in 1943 in the boiler room. I get a strong feeling of recognition over the Captain, I felt a great sense of love and respect for the man from his photograph, as if he gave me a lot of encouragement and was like a dad to us all!
Well, that covers the basics!lol I would love to hear about other's memories here, it would be fascinating:-)
Liz
